EUROCAST Košice, s.r.o.

On 19th June 1966 the current Slovakian foundry started production as an ingot and form foundry within the “East Slovakian Iron and Steel Works”. In 2005 the EUROCAST Košice, s.r.o. was purchased by the Silbitz Guss GmbH. With this acquisition the foundation stone for today’s Silbitz Group was laid and the competitiveness increased to open new markets.

A broad customer and branch spectrum coupled with two independent foundries enables the largest Slovakian foundry to react very flexibly to our customers’ requirements. At the Košice location we manufacture the most varied cast parts with a broad range of materials with weight per piece from approx. 10 kilogrammes to 12 tons. 

Railway technology, machine tools, drive engineering and wind power are the major branches currently being served by the Slovakian foundry.

Many manufacturer related product qualifications and the Q1 rating from the Deutsche Bahn enable us to further extend our service spectrum in the railway technology segment.

The Eurocast Košice foundry manufactures parts to very high quality requirements, which are inspected by a 3D measurement and marking out machine with the capability of a discolouration evaluation and ultra-sonic inspection using the echo-impulse method for wall thickness.
