Purchasing Organization

The Silbitz Group is a group of companies consisting of three foundries and a mechanical machining operator, which each have their own operational structures. The Head of Procurement Group coordinates procurement and deals with strategic management.

The purchasing organization has a hybrid structure and consists of separate units with clearly defined tasks. The cross-location units are strategic purchasing as well as the purchase of raw materials and strategic goods due to the importance to the group. Furthermore, according to our material group structure, material group responsibilities are assigned to the purchasers, which are also defined across locations. Operational purchasing is located in the individual factories and is responsible for supplying all non-strategic materials, goods and services. It supports strategic procurement in the processing of material group strategies and their implementation.
